FILM FESTIVAL
Film has long been a fuel for our surfing culture. It inspires our identity, dares us to be different and ultimately brings us closer as a community. Since 2015, The Single Fin Mingle has been showcasing the world's most scintillating surf films on a stage like no other. Submissions for the showcase at SFM 2024 are now open and we warmly invite any level of surf filmmakers to submit their work.
STREET PARTY
The whispers are true and it’s time to come and experience the magic of the Mingle for yourself. The world-class musicians, the attendee fashion, the awards, and the feeling of collective joy make this one of the most special musical celebrations in Aoteoroa. A sell-out event in 2023 we’re getting ready to raise the bar in 2024 for our biggest event ever.
AFTER PARTY
Our first official Single Fin Mingle After Party held at Loons, Lyttleton absolutely rocked those Mingle socks off. Non stop head swinging tunes that demanded feet to dance. Following the bright lights of the Mingle Street Party held in Sumner, Christchurch it truly is the perfect ending to an already unforgettable night. We can’t wait to do it all again in true mingle fashion!
SURFING COMPETITION
A focal point at the heart of our jovial jamboree is The Single Fin Mingle traditional surfing competition held across three days at Sumners Scarborough beach. This invitational competition showcases a carefully selected group of world class longboard surfers on a surfing stage as it should be. With smooth jazz, wood fired pizza and spa pools, freshly brewed coffee and even a beach bar - this is a competition like no other.
