Since our first-ever SFM in 2015, we’ve been encouraging our attendees to let us join in on their journey to The Mingle online through #roadtothemingle. 

This year we’ve teamed up with our good friends at Hydro Flask New Zealand to make this campaign extra special. We’ve chosen 25 cool cats (that's you - meow) that are coming to Sumner for this year's SFM. Should you choose to accept our invitation we will send you a limited edition SFM x Hydro Flask 32oz drink bottle to join you on your journey!

 
 

In return, all you need to do is post three stories to your Instagram tagging #roadtothemingle @hydroflask_nz @thesinglefinmingle + save the original on your phone for the Mingle (read on to find out why).

 

Follow the shot list below for some inspo or come up with your own:

 

Shot 1 - Starting your journey

  • Vertical video (no longer than 15 seconds) 

  • Of you and your your travel crew centre frame standing in front of your vehicle at start of trip. Maybe you’ve got boards on the roof, backpacks on, or a suitcase next to you. It could be in front of your house or anywhere you like.

 
 

Shot 2 - Road tripping with your Hydro Flask

  • Vertical video of 10 seconds max 

  • Inspo ideas - You at surf spot in wetsuit with your Hydro Flask

  • Driving and having a drink from your Hydro Flask

  • Walking to a beach with Hydro Flask

  • Your Hydro Flask next to your surfboard while waxing up 

  • Filling up your Hydro Flask somewhere

  • Throwing Hydro Flask in the air and getting a funky shot.

 

Shot 3 - Road tripping continued

  • Vertical video of 10 seconds max 

  • Inspo idea’s: more road trip fun but with a focus on your road trip crew appearing in the video - having fun - maybe Hydro Flask is somewhere in the video too.

 

A Rumpl reward for finishing!

At the SFM opening ceremony on Thursday the 4th of April - Come to the Hydro Flask Ezi up at Sumner Surf Club - meet Maegan and airdrop her the three original videos that you posted so we can edit them into our road to the mingle wrap-up film! This is the final step of the mission and if you complete you will get a free Rumpl towel (design tbc).
